How does one explain the sustained hostile verbal attacks from Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, on the presidential ambition of the Labour Party standard-bearer, Mr. Peter Obi? One can deduce from all the write ups in Nigerian papers, what happens when leaders and politicians don’t put their faith in reason heretofore. Yes, therein lies the potential for drama as we are witnessing.

It is not surprising that top Igbo Elders have risen to defend former Governor Obi urging Soludo to shut up and stop embarrassing himself and Ndigbo through his utterances.

Among notable figures reported in the Nigerian media include former Anambra Governor, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, former Health Minister, Prof ABC Nwosu, former Governor of Imo State, Achike Udenwa, Chekwas Okorie, and Prof Fabian Osuji, all of whom expressed shock at the level Soludo would stoop in expressing his hostility towards Peter Obi who has never done anything to provoke him.

Not being a politician, I will stay on my lane here: science. Science knows nothing about inspiration. That pertains to the domain of psychologists and theologians. A person’s visions may be all very satisfactory and consoling to themselves, and to whomever else chooses to believe them, but they are not considered sound evidence in modern courts.

With science and life, it is only facts that matter, no conjecture, just verified, reproducible facts, which is scientific truth. And even though there are no absolute final truths, there are functional truths that drive this world.

Science is the only reliable knowledge we have. It is to truth that one dedicates their beliefs, and it is against the nature of our minds not to place ourselves on the side that possesses the clearest indication of the truth, who is so stupid to mistake logic, and persist in it, when all others detect their error to them?

To Nigerians (Ndi-Igbo in this instance), nothing is coming to our rescue on this speck of dust called earth to give us a lasting peace, except for the three pound organ in our heads, education, common sense and wisdom….and quit electing people that base their thinking on inspirational fallacy, corrupted minds, and personal gains…in other words, willful liars. And an ignorant blowhard, at that. If that opinion makes you feel personally affronted, well, tough. Why must Ndigbo always embark on mutually assured destruction in the Nigerian sociopolitical space?

Enough said, metaphorically!!
