NPFL: Enugu Rangers hosts Lobi Stars in Title Chase

Rangers International Football Club of Enugu will today, Sunday March 17th lock horns with Lobi Stars of Makrudi in a title chase encounter at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.

The Flying Antelopes currently occupy the third position in the NPFL table with 42 points while their Makurdi opponents sits at the top with 46 points.

Enugu Rangers is galloping into the match on a zero loss having lost no match since the second half of the Nigerian Premier Football League commenced. The team has however drawn their last two matches against Kwara United and Kano Pillars bringing an end to their five-match winning streak.

A win at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium will ensure that Rangers closes the four-point gap between her and Lobi Stars to just one point.

Other NPFL matches in the weekend include Rivers United playing host to Heartland FC of Owerri; Abia Warriors will battle Sunshine Stars of Akure; Bayelsa United will play host to Kano Pillars; Bendel Insurance will slug it out with Doma United; Niger Tornadoes will be visiting the People’s Elephant, Enyimba FC of Aba; Gombe United will be playing at home with Akwa United FC; Kastina United will play host to Plateau United; Kwara United will be visiting Sporting Lagos; while Shooting Stars will be hosts to Remo Stars.
