Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima Mustapha, GCON will headline the inaugural Executive Leadership Education scheduled to take place on August 26-30, 2024, at the University Ibadan, Oyo State.
A message from the Special Adviser on Political Matters to the President, Office of the Vice President, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed confirmed Vice President’s acceptance to be the keynote speaker at the event. Vice President is expected to speak on “Contemporary Leadership Challenges and Future of Governance in Africa: An Evaluation of Tested Models” before an audience of top leaders from around the world and different sectors invited to attend the weeklong event.
Organized jointly by the New York-based Consortium for International Education and Development (CIED) and the Faculty of the School of Social Sciences, University of Ibadan, the forum is designed for leaders in public and private sectors, diplomats, business leaders, academics, and public policy experts. World class faculty and industry leaders will facilitate discussion around specific subject areas, with the goal of generating new knowledge and understanding, forging, and expanding new international, intercultural, interdisciplinary research networks, and partnerships.
The training program offers insight into legislative leadership and key leadership concepts required to succeed in today’s fast paced and ever-changing political and economic environment. Participants learn from CIED policy experts, US university professors, and top-flight leadership coaches. They also learn from each other – a select network of professionals from different educational, political, business sectors in Nigeria.
Additionally, the weeklong course of study that will lead to an award of a certificate in leadership offers a wide range of customized executive leadership development programs tailored to fit individual audience needs and a combination of in-depth geopolitical seminars, professional skill-building workshops, and a variety of events and platforms to promote and celebrate interdisciplinary study.
