The Nigerian Breweries PLC has announced a 40 percent increase in the prices of her products.
This was made known in a statement issued in the last week and signed by the Zonal Business Manager (West) Lekan Awosanya to announce the new prices of the products.
To that effect, beer consumers will have to pay as much as N1,300:00 for a bottle of beer with effect from February 19, 2024.
According to the new price list, a bottle of Heineken beer will now sell for N1,300; a bottle of Legend stout will now go for N1,250 while a bottle of Gulder will now sell for N950 as against the former price of N700.
Star lager beer that was earlier sold for N600 will now be sold for N850 and the same price is applicable to 33 Extra lager beer that will currently sell for N850.
The ‘Price Review Notification’ expressed that the NB PLC was constrained to review the prices of her Stock-Keeping Units with effect from Monday 19, February, 2024.
“This review has become necessary because of the rising input cost and the need to mitigate impact.
“In appreciation of our great partnership and your commitment, we will deliver at the current prices, all open orders that are fully funded and created in our system before 00.00hrs on Monday, 19 February, 2024.
“While thanking you for your commitment to our great partnership, be rest assured that we will continue to support your sales/distribution efforts as always. For further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact your Regional Business Manager.”
